Johnsonburg Area School District will begin the 2026–2027 school year with two familiar faces in new leadership roles.
Dr. Raymond Kelly will lead Johnsonburg Area Elementary School as principal, having previously served as principal of Johnsonburg Area High School. Ms. Rachelle Kastner, who previously served as the high school counselor, will now lead Johnsonburg Area High School as principal.
Dr. Kelly looks forward to bringing his experience, dedication, and commitment to the elementary school community. As he begins his new role, he plans to build strong relationships with students and families while maintaining high academic expectations and focusing on student safety, positive behavior, regular attendance, and a welcoming school environment.
Ms. Kastner brings years of experience working directly with Johnsonburg students and families as the high school counselor. In her new role, she plans to foster a school culture where students feel safe, valued, and supported. She will also encourage students to challenge themselves academically, participate in extracurricular activities, support their classmates, and take pride in their school community.
Johnsonburg Area School District looks forward to supporting Dr. Kelly and Ms. Kastner as they begin their new roles and continue serving JASD students and families.
