The Johisco Chapter of the National Honor Society recently hosted their annual Red Cross Blood Drive at Johnsonburg High School.

The students on Mrs. Huff’s What’s So Cool About Manufacturing team recently attended the awards ceremony where they took home the outstanding overall video award!

Welcome to Johnsonburg Area School District, home of the Rams! We are a small district located in Johnsonburg, Pennsylvania, serving students in preschool through 12th grades.
Please take some time to get to know our schools and staff. We have a variety of clubs and a robust athletics program available to our secondary students, and we proudly offer special learning opportunities for our elementary students. We look forward to serving you.
A Message from Our Superintendent
Dear Community Members,
I hope your summer has been filled with only fun and exciting events! As we all know, the summer months go by quickly, and the 2024–2025 school year is already upon us! It is bittersweet as the summer ends, but educationally, the best time as the students return to us with newfound hopes and dreams. Everyone enjoys a fresh start and a brand-new beginning!
Summer is always a busy time for our custodians and summer workers, and this summer was no exception. Summer is also a time when we can get projects completed while students and staff are enjoying their summer vacation! Everyone will be thrilled when they come into our newly painted auditorium! It has a fresh coat of paint on the walls and ceiling, and we are so happy with the finished product! Also, our classrooms, buildings, and grounds get freshened up and cleaned from top to bottom; we are always amazed at the results!
We are excited to announce that students will continue to eat for free this year. As shared last year, our reimbursements will be based on student participation. We encourage every student to go through the lines to purchase a reimbursable meal!
I am honored and excited to begin this school year and continue to lead this district. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for the unwavering support of our students, parents, and staff. We are committed to putting education and educational growth at the forefront of our mission for the Johnsonburg community.

The Johnsonburg Area School District is located in Elk County in northwestern Pennsylvania. It is a small, rural, public school that serves the Johnsonburg Borough and parts of Jones and Ridgway Townships. It comprises 227 square miles. Local revenues are primarily generated by a 32.5 mill real estate tax, .5% earned income tax, and .5% real estate transfer tax. The Johnsonburg Area School District is serviced by the IU9. The IU9 facilitates training and resources to help ensure student success.
