Johnsonburg Area Elementary School

Welcome to Johnsonburg Area Elementary School. Learning and fun go hand in hand in our preschool through sixth-grade classrooms. We are a community of caring, dedicated professionals who work together to bring about the academic and personal success of every student in our care.

At JAES, students, parents, and teachers are all on the same team. Weekly communication packets support that team spirit by sharing information about upcoming events and samples of your child’s schoolwork. Watch for your child’s packet on Tuesdays.

A Message From Our Principal

Dear Johnsonburg Elementary School Families,

Once again, I would like to remind everyone about our school wide positive behavior plan and the RAMS rules. The “RAMS” school rules are:

R – Respect
A – Act Responsibly
M – Make learning happen
S – Simply be nice

Unfortunately, I have been receiving more referral forms recently. There are times when students choose to misbehave, and consequences must be applied for this unacceptable behavior. Students need to stay positive and focused to do their best classwork, homework, and assignments every day.

All absences will be recorded as illegal absences until a written excuse is received. Not sending an absentee form within five days of your child’s return to school will result in an illegal absence. Calling your child off in the morning is very helpful and the written excuse after is required.

It is important for the school to be able to reach a parent/guardian with concerns or questions about our students. Parents are asked to provide and update all contact information and to have a working phone number so that you can be reached. Contact my office if you need to update any information.
