Welcome to Johnsonburg Area Elementary School. Learning and fun go hand in hand in our preschool through sixth-grade classrooms. We are a community of caring, dedicated professionals who work together to bring about the academic and personal success of every student in our care.

At JAES, students, parents, and teachers are all on the same team. Weekly communication packets support that team spirit by sharing information about upcoming events and samples of your child’s schoolwork. Watch for your child’s packet on Tuesdays.

A Message From Our Principal

Dear Johnsonburg Elementary School Families,

Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year! I would like to welcome you and your child(ren) to our school. I am looking forward to collaborating with you this year as we help your child experience all the joys of learning.

You should receive our school handbook/calendar today. This informative resource can be referred to for the entire school year when questions arise regarding dress code, vacation days, and calendar items. If you have any questions throughout the school year, please do not hesitate to contact my office.

There are various papers and forms sent home today. I would ask that this paperwork be completed and returned by Wednesday, August 27, 2025. It is important that we update each student’s file with the appropriate information. Contact information is particularly important and should be updated regularly.

I will be keeping you informed of school events and activities by the weekly newsletter. This newsletter will be sent home each Tuesday in the “Take Home Packet”. I would ask that you read all the information which is included in the packet. By reading the material, you will stay up to date with what is happening with your child(ren) and at the elementary school. Sign and return the envelope to acknowledge that you have received the information.

Each child must have a cafe’ account to purchase extras, snacks, and/or ice cream. Please make sure that your child has money in their account for these items. Once again, welcome. Let us work together to make this a great school year!
